August 21, 2021 | 10am | 1pm | 4pm

Woodland Park (705 Woodland Dr)

In this workshop, participants will be guided through the design, preparation and creation a vessel. Participants will learn: WABI SABI - the art of imperfection and that shapes can be organic. DESIGN OF FORM - think about proportions and shapes while considering the prepared meal and how form would best serve it. CLAY PREP - learning to wedge to help activate the particles. TECHNIQUES - hand built slabs and slump forming. TEXTURES - creating layers of impressions, carving through tools or stamps. FIRING - your pieces will be bisqued and glaze fired at our studio. You will choose your glaze on site and it will be ready in 2 to 3 weeks.
