Clay Mask Making with Georgina Lohan

August 22, 2021 | 10am | 1pm | 4pm

Georgina Lohan Studio (1161 Parker St)

Learn clay mask making starting with choosing from a variety of hump molds for the basic shape and form. Clay slabs will be prepared ahead of time and a wide variety of tools, stamps, cookie cutters, fabrics and other materials for textures will be available. Instruction will be tailored to the individual’s needs and skill level. There will be a limited number of pre-fired masks available for decoration with acrylic paint for those who prefer to start with them rather than build their own. Participants will be instructed on how to lay the slabs onto the hump molds and create elements to add to the mask such as textures, clay leaves, flowers, and stamped designs. Completed pieces will be fired and attendees will be notified of pick-up dates and location.
