Creating Creatures and Critters in Clay with Mat Holmstrom

August 21, 2021 | 10am | 1pm | 4pm

Woodland Park (705 Woodland Dr)

This workshop, suitable for all skill levels, will inspire participants to form and sculpt a one-of-a-kind creature using high quality, ready to use clay bodies. From Greenware to Stoneware, participants will learn about the process of ceramics and a variety of simple techniques that can be used to complete their vision. Upon completion participants will leave their creatures to be kiln fired and can pick them up at a later date.

ABOUT Mat Holmstrom

Mat Holmstrom is a visual artist based who attended the Alberta College of Art & Design and MacEwan University where he studied art and design. Alongside his own art practices, Holmstrom teaches private art classes in his studio, workshops with youth at the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts in Burnaby, and the Studio 101 program run by the Eastside Arts Society, of which he is a board member.

  • All materials provided for each workshop! Just bring yourself and ideas (except where noted)
  • All workshops are suitable for beginners and up
