Fun With Fusing

July 24, 2022 | 10am, 1pm, 3:30pm

This workshop will introduce participants to the art of glass fusing. Participants will learn how to cut glass and form a pattern, playing with colours and shapes and mixing age old techniques used to make mosaics. The tile will be fired in a kiln and finished pieces will be available for pick up at the studio post festival. No experience is required. Ages 16-95+ (participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult who is also participating in the workshop as space is limited).

ABOUT Terminal City Glass Co-op

Established in 2012, Terminal City Glass Co-op offers memberships, studio access and public educational programming in glass arts at the Mergatroid Building in East Vancouver. The studio’s education program includes classes in glassblowing, flameworking, beadmaking, and sandblasting, taught by experienced glassmakers. It is the first non-profit, cooperative glass studio in Canada.

  • Workshop length 2 hours
  • Ages 16-95+ (participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult who is also participating in the workshop as space is limited).
  • All materials provided for each workshop! Just bring yourself and ideas (except where noted).
  • All workshops are suitable for beginners and up.
  • All workshops will be operated under current public health guidelines.
