An Innovative Art-Making Festival Experience
From the producers of the Eastside Culture Crawl Festival comes an innovative art-making event, the CREATE! Arts Festival. The 3rd annual CREATE! Arts Festival is a community initiative of the Eastside Arts Society bringing together local artists and the community to explore, learn and create art together through a series of affordable and accessible art workshops, public art projects and art-making demonstrations.
Attendees of all ages will learn how to create art such as print making, glass fusing, ceramics and painting, as well as explore performing arts such as poetry from Eastside artists in a safe and comfortable outdoor space this summer. Workshop participants will learn how to create something they can take home, or pick up after firing. New this year, we will be offering a licensed festival site serving beer, wine and cider for attendees 19+ from our partners at Strange Fellows Brewing and a selection of food trucks!
The CREATE! Arts Festival is designed to deepen the connection between the public and artists in the Eastside Arts District by creating a meaningful exchange and provide capacity building opportunities for artists that are directly connected to their art practice.
The Eastside Arts Society is thrilled to announce that the Seventh Annual Art! Bike! Beer! Crawl fundraiser & tour will be held in person on Sunday, July 24th, 2022 a part of the Create! Arts Festival.
The Art! Bike! Beer! Crawl takes art lovers on a cycling or walking tour of four breweries, most of which are exhibiting art as well. This tour is an incredibly fun opportunity for attendees to enjoy the best the Eastside Arts District has to offer, art AND beer! Each ticket-holder tours 3 of 9 participating breweries, then the event wraps up at Strange Fellows where participants will enjoy a full art exhibit, light food and a chance to win amazing door prizes. A tasting flight or pint is included at all 4 stops.
This event supports East Vancouver’s arts and culture initiatives through community engagement and awareness. The Art, Bike Beer Crawl fundraiser pairs two of the best things about the Eastside, art & beer, together in a fabulously fun event connecting artists and art lovers in our community!

How do we write ourselves back into feeling? How do we use poetry as resurrection? How do we dig and dig and write until all we feel is the truth? In this workshop, we come back to ourselves and our truth through the unique process of poetry, play and performance. Participants will learn poetry as a mode of healing and relearning their authentic selves, sounds and similes.
